Job title: Quantity Surveyor/ Cost Controller

Contract: 12 month renewable (potential long term)

Client: LNG Energy Operator

About You

You are an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong understanding of cost management and contract performance. You excel in analysing project costs for materials, labour, and time, and are well-versed in risk and value management during construction. You are confident in handling contractor relations, processing payments, and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle. With a keen eye for detail, you are able to identify disallowable costs and provide valuable support to Commercial Managers. Your communication skills make you a key player in meetings, where you contribute effectively and assist with formal contract correspondence.

About the Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be a critical member of the Commercial team, responsible for overseeing the performance of the Main Site Works contract. You will analyse and verify project costings, ensuring accurate budgeting for materials, labour, and time. You will manage costs during construction, monitor contractor performance, and ensure that completed work is valued and payment applications are processed correctly. You will play a vital role in supporting the Commercial Managers, attending contractor meetings, taking minutes, and assisting in formal correspondence to maintain clear, contractual communications.
