Package: £60,000 - £70,000 plus Car Allowance + travel

Skilled Careers are pleased to announce we have been selected to search for a Project Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a very stable and profitable, family owned Tier 1 Main Contractor.

Due to an impressive amount of work winning and growth, my client has an exciting opportunity within the Commercial Team.

The Company:

They are a family owned Tier 1 Main Contractor who are turning over £1bn a year. They have seen a huge amount of growth this year while achieving amazing profit margins year after year. They currently have multiple live projects in and around London within their London Cut and Carve Division with values from £30m up to £100m.

The Opportunity:

You will be working on a Circa £60m Commercial Cut and Carve Project in London. You will be working closely with The Project Director. You will be responsible for managing the project from procurement to successful completion, beneath a Senior Quantity Surveyor and Project Commercial Manager.

Role & responsibility:

• Working closely with the Project Director AND Commercial Manager on a £60m Commercial Cut and Carve project in London.
• Develop and encourage project team performance encouraging and ensuring that main contractual obligations and or strategies are executed and regularly reviewed.
• Complete and submit monthly CVR and progress reports.
• Demonstrate understanding of internal and external tender strategies / build up and work to the profit plan.
• Agree external valuations / cash flow to maximise project value.
• Agree and produce main and subcontract final accounts.

The Person:

Candidate description

• Must have 4+ years experience in quantity surveying. This can include main contractor, fit-out and/or developer experience (main contractor or fit-out contractor preferable).
• Able to work under pressure.
• Commercial experience is essential.
• Cut and Carve/ refurbishment/ Fit-Out experience is ideal.
• Degree in Quantity Surveyor/ Commercial Management..
• Strong communication skills, confident in report writing and actively engaging in meetings.

The role is a hybrid role, where you will be based predominantly on the site in London but also with the opportunity to Work from home.
