Job Title: Mechanical Process Design Engineer
Location: Ellesmere Port
Salary: £42,000 to £48,000p/a
Basic Hours: 40 hours Monday to Friday
Contract / Permanent: Permanent
Site Based / Office / Remote: Office based
Start Date: ASAP
Job Overview:
Are you passionate about decarbonisation & renewable energy? This role is predominantly based in our clients head office in Ellesmere Port.
The job requires the following:
- Knowledge of ATEX and Mechanical design of systems for
hazardous areas
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Knowledge and experience of the design life cycles of a
project
- Awareness of the regulations and standards applicable to
Mechanical/Process systems.
- Experience of working within the process, oil & gas and
petrochemical industry
Main duties:
- Attend in-house and client weekly meetings providing technical
support to project managers
- Liaison with clients and sub-suppliers of the technical delivery
of the projects in conjunction with the Project PM
- Undertaking design reviews and attending design review
meetings
- In house manufacturing support based on produced design
- Specifying project materials
Secondary duties:
- Manage, report and approve the delivery of project drawings
and associated records
- Attend project handover with the sales team if needed
- Sales quote input if needed
- Manage build queries for both the workshop and site work if
needed
- Communicate Good Practice to other projects with reference
to the Performance Improvement Procedure
- Responsible for their own health and safety and that of others
and undertake the obligations as defined within the H&S Manual.
- Assist in the implementation of our clients' Quality Assurance,
Environmental Management System, abide and promote its Policies and Procedures.
What We Are Looking For: To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with at least 2-3 years' experience within a Process Design role. Ideally, you will have a gas network background and an understanding of GL5/G17 processes. Also, beneficial if you have worked with hydrogen systems.
