Job Description

Company Overview:
Our client are a leading main contractor specializing in high-quality construction developments. As they embark on a significant new build residential development, they are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee substructure and superstructure works (RC) and structural steel works.

Role Overview:
As the Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of the project, from initial groundworks to the completion of the building structure. You will manage on-site operations, supervise the construction team, and ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee Construction Activities: Lead the substructure and superstructure (RC) and structural steel work while coordinating site operations to maintain project schedules and budgets.

*

Manage Lifting Operations: Ensure safe and efficient lifting operations, working closely with the lifting crew and subcontractors. No Appointed Person (AP) certification is required for this role.

*

Logistics Coordination: Plan and manage site logistics, including the scheduling of deliveries, coordination of resources, and optimization of site layouts to enhance workflow and safety.

*

Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety audits and toolbox talks to promote a safe working environment.

Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor site staff and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and productive work culture.

*

Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of work and ensure that all construction activities meet required standards and specifications.

Qualifications:

*

Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar role within residential construction, with a focus on sub and superstructure works.

*

Strong knowledge of RC and structural steel construction techniques and processes.

*

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

*

Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices within the construction industry.

*

Strong leadership and communication skills, able to motivate and lead a diverse team.

*

Valid CSCS Card and relevant health and safety qualifications.
