Electrical Estimator / Senior Estimator / Estimator Manager
About the Role:
Our client, a leading electrical contracting company specialising in CAT A and CAT B commercial projects valued between £500,000 and £3 million, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Estimator / Estimator Manager to join their dynamic team.
As an Electrical Estimator / Estimator Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the company's success by providing accurate cost estimates, managing a team of estimators, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical installations, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs.
Tender Preparation: Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings to identify project requirements and potential challenges.
Site Surveys: Conduct site surveys to gather accurate measurements and assess project complexity.
Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of estimators, ensuring they are well-trained and motivated.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients and consultants.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients and suppliers to maximize profitability.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with projects. Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and industry standards (e.g., BS 7671).
Qualifications: Relevant electrical qualifications, such as City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent.
Experience: Proven experience in electrical estimating and team management within the commercial fit-out sector.
Estimating Software: Proficiency in estimating software, such as WinCAPS or similar.
Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial acumen and understanding of contract terms and conditions.
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of estimators.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with diverse stakeholders. What We Offer:
