With a world-class R&D facility, this company develops ground-breaking methods using the latest tech and industry-leading techniques to create bespoke equipment second to no competitor on the market. Due to a recent and large surge in business, the company is looking to expand its team with an Electro-Mechanical Fitter to help keep up with recent success.
Your new role
The duties of your new role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Mechanical/Electrical assembly of precision orientated machines, jigs and fixtures
- Working with a team of various trades to assemble equipment from component level to finished product
- Using a variety of workshop tools whilst following engineering drawings to a high precision
- Carrying out minor adjustments to mechanical components using lathes, milling machines and surface grinders (training given if necessary)
- Checking that assembled components are within expected geometric tolerances
In order to be successful in this role, it is essential you possess the following:
- A time served apprenticeship or relevant qualifications (HNC/HND) within general, electrical or mechanical engineering
- At least 5 years experience within an engineering position working as a fitter
- Have a basic knowledge of Stepper Motors, Control Systems, Sensors and BUS systems
- Possess enough hand on experience that it outweighs relevant qualifications
