Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial backbone of our company, handling everything from invoicing and invoice adjustments to reconciliations and sales tax payments. If you are a meticulous and professional accountant with a knack for efficient financial management, we need you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting processes including invoicing, invoice adjustments, issuing credits, and performing reconciliations.
- Ensure timely payment of all sales taxes and manage related compliance requirements.
- Utilize QuickBooks Online for all financial entries and reporting, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Retrieve documents and manage files using Dropbox.
- Coordinate with team members via Monday.com for project tracking and updates.
- Occasionally communicate with clients via email to follow up on payments and invoicing details.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping, particularly within a remote setting.
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online and familiarity with Dropbox and Monday.com.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in handling financial data.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment.
- Good communication skills for occasional client interactions via email.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in email communications with clients regarding financial inquiries.
- Understanding of the broader financial operations within a business setting.
