Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Coverage for a portfolio of banks/NBFI in Singapore and in the RCEP region.
- Pitching for cash, trade, loans, treasury and capital markets products which include collaborating with internal stakeholders, head office and its overseas branches to deliver high quality services and solutions.
- Experience in loan syndication origination/ trade finance products / participation in the banks/NBFI segment would be an added advantage.
- Prepare detailed credit applications - including financial analysis, credit risk evaluation, annual account review and continuous credit monitoring in order to maintain a robust and profitable portfolio.
- Ensure regulatory compliance is met and practices are in line with Bank’s policy guidelines.
- Prepare information memo, executive summaries and other reports for Parent Bank’s financial and regulatory submission process.
- Ensure all required covenant provided such are in place throughout the life of the syndicated loan.
- Manage clients’ ongoing activities and enquiries on accounts and transactions.
- Able to formulate system and work processes and process improvements for a holistic approach to operational and projects’ requirements.
- Ensure all terms and conditions precedent of facility agreement are met before execution of any requests from borrower.
- Co-ordinate / Participate and Support various enhancement projects such as procedure enhancement, formulation or ad-hoc projects.
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or other related discipline.
- Act as liaison to support Treasury/ Accounting through holistic balance sheet analysis and funding modeling.
- Good understanding of market practice in Syndication Loan Administration and Operations, especially with Syndication Agency roles would be more preferred.
- In-depth knowledge in financial documents, and good ability to interpret legal documents.
- Familiar with credit evaluation process, loan accounting and policy
- Prepare reporting for various internal and external constituents.
- Knowledge of credit analysis and strong client network will be an advantage.
- Self-starter possessing at least 5 years of relevant FI or credit analysis experience in large banks or non-bank financial institutions is preferred.
- Sharp business acumen and proficient in capital markets products knowledge, as well as acutely attuned to loan market information/trends.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work under pressure.
- Good team player who is driven, pro-active with positive attitude and comfortable with a dynamic environment.
- Above 3 years of Trade Finance experience specialising in Documentary Business is preferred.
Other experience that may be taken into consideration:
Transaction Banking Experience
- Knowledge in transaction banking products and services, including cash management, trade finance settlement cycles.
- Past experience with institutional counterparties, ensuring timely and effective delivery of the services.
- Ability to identify transaction banking opportunities and contribute to product development strategies.
- Knowledge of pre-processing and post-processing tasks for Trade Finance Products/Sub-Processes in accordance with Global/Internal Guideline/Process.
- Past experience of originating, negotiating and closing cash management mandate.
