Azure Cloud Engineer - Identity Management

Job Title : Azure Cloud Engineer. Location : [Remote]. Job Type : [Contract]. Job Description : We are seeking an experienced and versatile Azure Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a cloud professional proficient in managing and optimizing Azure services, including SQL databases, alerting and monitoring systems, data integration, and identity management. As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and maintaining a scalable, secure, and highly available Azure infrastructure. Key Responsibilities : Azure Infrastructure Management : - Design, implement, and manage Azure resources, including Kubernetes Service (AKS), App Services, API Management, Application Gateway, and Front Door/CDN profiles to optimize and secure applications. Monitoring and Alerting : - Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and Azure Alerts to ensure performance, availability, and security of services. Data Integration : - Design and implement data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and other data storage and processing services. - Ensure efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. Identity Management:. - Manage Azure Active Directory (AAD), ensuring identity and access management (IAM) is configured securely. - Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and manage user identities for cloud applications. Security and Compliance : - Enforce cloud security best practices, including network security groups (NSGs), firewalls, encryption, and securing sensitive data. - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Automation : - Develop scripts and automation workflows using Azure Automation, PowerShell, or ARM templates for repetitive tasks and infrastructure provisioning. Performance Optimization : - Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, scalability, and performance using Azure tools and services. Collaboration : - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and security teams to deploy and maintain cloud-based applications and infrastructure. Required Skills and Qualifications : - Proven experience in managing and optimizing Azure Cloud Infrastructure. - Strong expertise in Azure services including AKS, App Services, API Management, SQL Database, and Azure Active Directory. - Experience with Azure Monitoring and alerting tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights). - Proficiency in cloud security practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), network security, and encryption. - Strong knowledge of Data Integration tools like Azure Data Factory and ETL processes. - Scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, ARM Templates, or Azure CLI. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices in Azure. - Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing infrastructure issues. Preferred Qualifications : - Azure certifications such as AZ-104 (Azure Administrator), AZ-303 (Azure Solutions Architect) or equivalent. - Experience with container orchestration and Kubernetes. - Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices. - Experience in Agile methodologies and collaborative environments.
