Next.js Developer

Location : Trivandrum, Kerala (Onsite) Employment Type : Contract (6 months - 1 year) Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Next.js Developer with a strong background in front-end development to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of front-end development experience, including advanced expertise in React and Next.js, with a focus on performance optimization and delivering exceptional user experiences. Key Responsibilities : - Develop and Maintain Applications : Build and enhance scalable, high-performance front-end applications using Next.js. - Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and Static Site Generation (SSG) : Implement SSR, SSG, and ISR (Incremental Static Regeneration) for optimized SEO and seamless user experience. - API Integration : Integrate applications with RESTful APIs and GraphQL for smooth client-server communication. - Collaborate with Design and Backend Teams : Work closely with UI/UX designers and backend developers to deliver cohesive and user-centric applications. - Optimize Performance : Apply best practices to ensure fast load times, responsiveness, and efficient resource usage. - Code Quality and Testing : Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code while implementing testing procedures to ensure reliability and consistency. Required Skills and Qualifications : Experience : 4 years of front-end development experience, with at least 2 years of hands-on expertise in Next.js. - React and Next.js Expertise : Strong understanding of Next.js features like SSR, SSG, and React fundamentals, including hooks and component-based design. - JavaScript/TypeScript Proficiency : Deep knowledge of ES6 JavaScript and TypeScript for robust code development. - Styling and Frameworks: Proficiency in CSS, Sass, and frameworks like Tailwind CSS or styled-components. - Backend Communication : Experience integrating APIs and managing data with RESTful services and GraphQL. - Version Control : Hands-on experience with Git for code versioning and collaboration. Preferred Skills : - Familiarity with DevOps practices, including deployment on platforms like Vercel, AWS, or Netlify. - Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library. - Proficiency with state management tools like Redux, Zustand, or similar libraries. - Understanding of web performance optimization tools and techniques, including Lighthouse and caching strategies (ref:hirist.tech)
