We are currently working with a Special Needs school in West London who have an opportunity for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their school as soon as possible.
The Role
In this role you will be working in a class with primary age pupils, all who have complex needs and ASD.
Pupils in the class can display challenging behavior and can sometimes require support to calm situations. 1:1 support is also part of the role. You will be working with every child in the class at different points in the week. There are some pupils that will also require personal care, support with eating and daily tasks as well as support in lessons. You will be using a variety of teaching and communication methods including PECS, Attention Autism,
The school are looking for a teaching assistant who is very confident and open to provide care and support to young children with this level of complex needs.
The school are open to applications from Special Needs Teaching Assistants with previous experience or care settings, or passionate and committed individuals looking to enter the sector.

This all through SEND school is based in Hillingdon and is for children and young adults aged 4-19 with a range of learning disabilities including those who may be autistic and those who have physical or sensory needs. The school is part of a wider trust of SEND schools and therefore has a truly specialist approach with excellent shared knowledge, skills and experience across the Trust. There is excellent training and professional development opportunities within the trust and long-term career progression options.
