Principal Programmer – 12 Month Contract

An award-winning game development studio is seeking an experienced Principal Programmer to join their Game Technology team for an upcoming project. This is a brand-new, unannounced game built in a proprietary engine. If you like idea of working on a project that's different to the majority of the games in the market, then this could be an exciting option for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Devise and deliver technology across key areas within Game Technology, which may include systems, gameplay, UI, tools, etc.
• Collaborate with designers to identify pragmatic solutions to creative challenges.
• Champion best practices and support other team members to maximize potential.

Requirements:

• Experience implementing and debugging multithreaded real-time code at a Principal level or above within a cross-disciplinary game production environment.
• Proficiency in C and C++, with an ability to write readable and maintainable code.
• Strong desire to collaborate with other disciplines to explore solutions.
• Flexibility to adapt to new challenges as priorities shift throughout development.
• Proactive, pragmatic, and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
