Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – Residential Developments
Location: Cannock
Salary: Up to £52,000 (depending on experience) + Benefits
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team and manage the procurement of sub-contract orders and cost control for residential developments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the construction industry and be responsible for managing costs, compiling budgets, and ensuring the profitability of residential projects from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities for the Quantity Surveyor:
- Sub-Contract Procurement: Issue sub-contract enquiries and procure trades for new residential developments.
- Cost Control: Oversee the sub-contract payment process, ensuring accurate and up-to-date accounts.
- Budget Compilation: Compile site start budgets and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Profit & Loss Management: Perform ongoing profit and loss valuations to ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Cost Reporting: Manage and report cost variations, helping the build team understand and control project costs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with site teams to resolve issues and achieve the best project outcomes.
- Database Management: Utilise the COINs database to produce monthly CVRs, track costs to completion, and manage commercial budgets.
- Sub-Contractor Management: Ensure sub-contractors meet specifications and final accounts are completed promptly to minimize future liabilities.
- Customer Care: Prioritise customer satisfaction and ensure the company maintains a strong reputation as a 5-star builder.
- Software & Process Improvement: Maximize the use of the COINs software, looking for new ways to streamline processes and add value to the business.
- Commercial Focus: Identify risks and opportunities, maintaining a strong commercial voice to ensure the success of the project.
- Personal Development: Continue to develop professionally and progress your career within the company.
