Job description

TL;DR:

If you're a Node.js & TypeScript enthusiast with a knack for serverless architecture and a passion for solving complex, scalable systems, we want you on our team!

What’s the role?

As a Software Engineer in our Activation team, you’ll tackle high-impact challenges and build sophisticated systems that power real-time data, robust workflows, and seamless integrations.

In this role, you will:

  1. Design and scale high-reliability workflows to ensure our systems are always performant.
  2. Optimize data transformation pipelines, handling large datasets with ease.
  3. Integrate Akeneo with a diverse array of external APIs, helping us expand our ecosystem.
  4. Create intuitive, real-time tracking interfaces that deliver value to users.

This is your opportunity to create solutions from scratch, experiment with the latest technologies, and shape the future of our product architecture.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who loves both technology and product. If this sounds like you, you’ll feel right at home at Akeneo. To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  1. Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and React.
  2. A passion for building new projects from the ground up, with an eye on scalability and performance.
  3. An interest in strictly typed codebases, hexagonal architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (we’re serious about this!).
  4. You enjoy working in autonomous teams and embrace peer programming or mobbing sessions.
  5. Backend engineering experience, with a keen understanding of how your work impacts the product as a whole.
  6. A love for testing, code reviews, continuous integration, and thorough documentation.
Extra points if you:
  1. Have experience with serverless architectures.
  2. Know how to handle large volumes of data.
  3. Bring a strong testing culture and familiarity with CI/CD tools.
  4. Have worked with syndication, retailers, or marketplaces.
Our tech stack:

At Akeneo, we love to experiment with cutting-edge technology. You'll be working with tools like ElasticSearch, Firestore, PubSub, and Terraform. We operate on a “Shape-Up” model—6 weeks of sprint, followed by 2 weeks of cool down—allowing us to reflect, explore, and innovate in a balanced and thoughtful way.

Ready to join us?

If you’re excited about building products that scale, solving complex challenges, and working in an environment that champions personal growth, hit that apply button! We’d love to meet you.

Akeneo is committed to creating an inclusive work environment. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply!
