Role Overview : The Head of Engineering at Bebetta will define the technical vision and drive the development of scalable, robust, and high-performing applications across all platforms. This role combines strategic leadership, people management, and hands-on technical expertise to achieve organizational goals and deliver exceptional user experiences. Key Responsibilities : Strategic and Operational Leadership : - Develop and execute engineering strategies, processes, and policies to improve productivity and ensure alignment with business goals. - Lead the creation of a comprehensive roadmap for infrastructure, tools, and team expansion to support scalable growth. - Collaborate with the executive team to translate business objectives into actionable engineering plans. People Management : - Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering collaboration and innovation. - Define clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations, and ensure continuous skill development. - Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and technical excellence. Technical Leadership : - Architect and oversee the development of scalable backend systems using Node.js. - Guide mobile app development with a focus on Android Native (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift), ensuring robust performance and usability. - Drive responsive and engaging web development with React.js, adhering to modern best practices. - Stay hands-on with coding, resolving technical challenges, and providing exemplary leadership through direct Innovation : - Work closely with product teams to align technical solutions with user needs and business goals. - Prioritize a seamless user experience across all platforms while ensuring product scalability and robustness. Data-Driven Insights : - Leverage data analytics to monitor system performance, guide decision-making, and optimize engineering : Must-Have : Experience - 8 years in product development, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role. Technical Expertise : - Proficiency in backend development with Node.js. - Strong understanding of mobile development, particularly Kotlin (Android) and Swift (iOS). - Expertise in React.js for creating scalable and responsive web applications. - Experience with architecture patterns, scalability, and best practices for full-stack and Management : - Proven experience building, leading, and mentoring engineering teams. - Strong ability to foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented team environment. - Hands-On Expertise : Demonstrated ability to code and solve technical challenges actively, setting a standard of technical excellence. - Product Mindset : Proven ability to align engineering efforts with business goals and deliver impactful products. - Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. - Data Literacy : Experience using data for performance tracking, system monitoring, and informed : - Domain Knowledge : Experience with gaming or sports apps and understanding domain-specific challenges.
