The Opportunity
Join us on an exciting journey to build your career as a Trainee Logistics Planner. Based at our Regional Customer Centre in Holytown, near Motherwellyoull develop a career and not just a job by becoming a crucial part of our logistics delivery team.
Your career with us will start with your ability to learn and develop, not your past experience. And, with the support of management and experienced planners youll receive full training and development to unleash your full potential.
Once your training is complete youll be responsible for organising deliveries of aggregates across the Central Belt of Scotland. Youll be working in a fast paced environment where deliveries can be scheduled for the same or next day. Youll also have to take into account potential breakdowns of vehicles or issues with the plant, so youll need to make changes to your schedule and keep our teams updated with new ETAs.
Youll help build working relationships with hauliers and other internal stakeholders along with assisting in the negotiation of haulage rates.
