Location: Bamford, Sheffield
Pay: £350 - £400/day
Our client is a civil engineering firm specialising in non-infrastructure environmental projects. We are seeking an experienced Civil General Foreman with a background in non-infrastructure projects.
General Foreman Job Description:
You will oversee the day-to-day operations a major infrastructure project. This role involves managing a team of foreman and workers, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe work environment.
General Foreman Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of direct and subcontractor labour
* Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations
* Monitor project progress and report to internal and external stakeholders
* Assist in the planning of the project and allocation of resources.
* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are upheld.
* Maintain accurate records of daily activities, labour, and materials used.
* Use online systems to accurately report on site activities.
* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders as necessary.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a General Foreman in civil engineering
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Education and Experience:
* CSCS Gold minimum
* SSSTS minimum
* First Aid at Work (Preferable)
