Job Description
Technical/ Building Services Manager, London, City, £70k to £90k plus package
Our client is an international law firm with c250 partners and 20+ offices worldwide. They will be moving their London operation to a newly redeveloped building located in the City of London, after over 30 years in their current premises.
This exciting new role will have responsibility for managing the overall strategic direction and day to day schedule of planned maintenance and repair programmes for all technical aspects of the new premises, acting on behalf of the firm in their capacity as both landlord and tenant.
The Technical Services Manager will be responsible for looking after the new building from the day they take possession in the Spring of 2025. As well as this and until the move, which is planned for the summer of 2026, the Technical Services Manager will be a critical member of the relocation project steering group, which is responsible for planning and implementing the design, fit out, operational set-up, and move.
The role requires a strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and a focus on delivering high-quality service. As an integral part of the Office Management team, you will be responsible for the financial management of the technical building services, engineering and maintenance, contracts management, regulatory compliance, accreditation, and policies.

KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
This role requires a flexible approach to meet the dynamic needs of the business.
At least ten years’ experience working in a similar M&E engineering, HVAC, technical building services or facilities management role, managing either a large single site or multiple commercial sites.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or building services preferable.
Experience in the legal sector or in a professional services environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with reading schematics and work plans.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; fluent in both spoken and written English.
Experience of working to ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards.
Proven experience in budget development and management particularly service charge budgeting.
An understanding of energy and environmental management.
