Job Description
Are you an ambitious Graduate looking to kickstart your career in Education? Prospero teaching are looking for graduates to work in one of our specialist SEN schools in Blackburn as Teaching Assistants. This role will be suitable for graduates who are interested in a career in Special Educational Needs.
You will be working with children with varied learning abilities and special educational needs, either in small groups or on a 1-2-1 basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to pursue a career in Education Psychology or a PGCE in the future.
Position Details:

Type of work - 1:1 work with children with emotional and social learning difficulties and/or Special Education Needs
Contract or position start date - 18/11/2024
Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing
Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temporary
Full time/part time - Full time
Rate of pay - Minimum rate £90/day
Hours - 9:00am - 3:30pm Mon - Fri (term time only)Responsibilities:
Working with and providing support to children with SEN (Special Educational Needs)
Experience of supporting pupils
The willingness to provide an environment in which pupils can reach their full potential
The ability to build rapports with the children, supporting their social and behavioural needs, and acting as a mentorRole Requirements:
Psychology (BA Hons) degree
DBS (clean and relevant) - Can be obtained through Prospero Teaching
Safeguarding certificate
A committed and enthusiastic attitude to work
