Senior Accountant required. My client is a top 100 accountancy practice based across the country, who are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Derby office. They are a progressive, proactive, and friendly accountancy and advisory practice with over 80 people in the Derby office.

My client provides a broad range of support and advice to businesses and individuals, on a local, national, and overseas level.

Senior Accountant Job Overview

• Prepare financial statements from client source records, completing the necessary supporting schedules for managers to review.
• Complete regular bookkeeping for clients, including the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts as necessary.
• Be involved with planning work for relevant work assignments.
• Guiding and advising trainee / junior staff in the department and delegate work where necessary.
• Chase up outstanding queries with clients and to 'progress manage' their own assignments.
• May be required to travel to clients' premises. Some overtime is required from time to time.

Suitable candidates must have previous experience working in an accountancy practice and be ACA/ACCA qualified/part-qualified.

Senior Accountant Salary & Benefits

• Salary dependent on experience, with the typical industry range for this position being £30- £40K
