Team Manager, Screening Team, Leicestershire
Salary: £42 per hour

About the role:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Manager to join our Screening Team in Leicestershire. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of social workers and deputy team managers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children and families in need.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage and supervise a team of social workers and deputy team managers
* Allocate cases and assess caseloads
* Provide consultation on complex cases
* Manage budgets
* Investigate complaints and disciplinary matters
* Chair meetings
* Accompany social workers on home visits
* Attend court and give evidence
* Audit files
* Implement policies and procedures
* Identify and implement staff training and development
* Ensure that activities within the Council's safeguarding services are carried out to agreed service standards within available budgets, and in line with legislative, regulatory and national minimum standard requirements
* Manage the recruitment and selection process for all members of staff
Essential requirements:
* Recognised social work qualification
* SWE registration
* Current or recent experience as a manager within a screening or MASH team
Desirable requirements:
* Experience of working in a local authority children's services department
* Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and procedures
