Job Description
Cloud Platform Engineer - £450-£500 per day - Outside IR35 - 3 Months initial contract - Remote.
Our client, a global nuclear engineering organisation, is seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Platform Engineer to support the delivery of cloud hosting capabilities by developing and maintaining automation pipelines, scripts, and other artefacts essential to both project delivery and platform evolution. You will play a key role in enhancing cloud environments through automation and collaboration with architects and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage automated Azure DevOps pipelines and Bicep templates using Visual Studio Code for seamless, repeatable cloud component deployment.
Collaborate with Cloud Architects and stakeholders to develop, validate, and deploy key artefacts, with a strong focus on automation and scalability.
Ensure all code meets project standards and specifications, following best practices for structured, secure, and reusable automation pipelines.
Automate Azure resources efficiently using Bicep templates and PowerShell scripting to optimize Azure environments.
Continuously refine and improve cloud platform automation processes to drive platform evolution, ensuring reusability and efficiency in deployment pipelines.
Maintain and enhance secure, segmented Azure DevOps pipelines to support scalability and high availability across cloud projects.
Key Results & Achievements:
Successful implementation of automated, reusable pipelines and Bicep-based templates for cloud deployments.
Significant contribution to platform evolution through the optimization of Azure DevOps pipelines and automation.
Delivery of high-quality artefacts aligned with coding standards, optimized for cloud efficiency and error handling.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Extensive experience with Azure DevOps, particularly in automation and pipeline creation.
Strong expertise in Bicep and PowerShell scripting for Azure resource automation.
Proficient in Azure Cloud infrastructure, with hands-on experience in structured and secure DevOps pipeline design.
Proven ability to create scalable, reusable automation solutions within cloud environments.
Excellent collaboration skills for effective communication with cross-functional teams
