Job Description
About the Role:
We’re looking for a motivated Engineering Team Leader to develop and implement a site maintenance program while leading a multi-skilled team of engineers. Your role will be to manage resources effectively to ensure the site meets its productivity, quality, safety, and cost goals, all while maintaining a positive, engaged work environment.
This is a key role that will help shape the future of our site’s engineering and overall performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage the site’s maintenance plan.
* Lead and support the engineering team, encouraging strong performance and continuous improvement.
* Work closely with the manufacturing team to improve site operations and develop engineering skills.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and engineering regulations.
* Lead site projects, including planning and completing capital engineering work.
* Collaborate with other teams to drive site performance.
* Oversee the management of engineering stores and contractor bookings.
* Step in to lead the site in the absence of the Engineering Maintenance Manager.
Key Requirements:
* Experience: Proven engineering experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector, with a good understanding of operations.
* Skills: Multi-skilled in Electrical, Mechanical, and Automation engineering.
* Leadership: Strong leadership abilities, with experience in managing teams and promoting continuous improvement.
* Maintenance Systems: Experience implementing and managing maintenance systems.
* Communication: Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
