Job Description
Konnect Recruit are recruiting for a Financial Controller for a privately owned Construction company based in Portsmouth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures
* Prepare and present financial reports to senior management
* Manage cash flow, including accounts receivable and payable
* Coordinate and lead the annual audit process
* Monitor and manage the company’s financial performance against budget and forecasts, providing regular updates to management.
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, taxes, and other financial obligations.
Qualifications:
* Qualification in Accounting, AQA
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
* Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Benefits:
* Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience
