Job Description

The Role
As an Employability Tutor, you will deliver high-quality employment support and tailored training to learners accessing the East Midlands training centre. Your mission? To equip learners with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed in the workforce. You'll be responsible for designing and delivering engaging training modules that align with the needs of both local employers and learners, helping to bridge skills gaps and boost employability.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and promote independent learning resources and flexible learning strategies to support learner progression.
* Create and deliver bespoke classroom sessions focused on employability and sector-specific skills, ensuring learners are motivated to achieve their goals.
* Provide one-on-one support to learners, offering tailored advice on job search strategies, CV writing, interview techniques, and career planning.
* Design new course materials to meet the evolving needs of learners and the local labour market.
* Collaborate with the Employer Engagement Team to job match learners to suitable vacancies and work placements.
* Ensure learner files are compliant with contractual standards and maintain accurate records for awarding bodies.
* Offer impartial information, advice, and guidance on employment opportunities and further learning.
* Support learners with exam preparation and invigilate tests as required.
What We’re Looking For
* A qualified tutor with AET/PTLLS or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Proven experience in delivering group training sessions, particularly in the employability sector.
* Strong knowledge of the welfare-to-work sector and the local labour market.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate learners.
* A track record of working to targets and managing a caseload effectively.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
