Our Pianezza plant is part of our Light Division in charge of developing and manufacturing Lighting Products and Electronics. As a Production Supervisor in Valeo Pianezza , you will have the opportunity to work with the most powerful carmaker companies in electronics development, working in an international and multicultural environment. Mission: Manage the production lines and teams under your responsibility, in respect to the objectives assigned by the production Manager. Be responsible for production in terms of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, team motivation, and target achievement. Be responsible for animating and managing improvement. Lead continuous improvement workshops. Spend most of your time on the shop floor and ensure that work standards and rules are applied in your perimeter. Main responsibilities: Manage people Be responsible for the induction of all newcomers in your perimeter (temporaries included). Ensure the organization and scheduling of training actions. Analyze flexibility and multi-skills needs of your production area, and define training plans to develop team autonomy and improvement spirit. Monitor certification process for each operator and update in real time flexibility grid. Manage daily: absenteeism, holidays, safety rules enforcement, environment risk analysis, communication & performance boards. Ensure respect of standard stops (breaks, meetings) by checking systematically in the plant, and validate operators' working time. Ensure that standards of reaction are applied with rigor and perform escalation according to standards. Follow up main objectives in monthly meetings with all people under your responsibility. Be responsible for personnel involvement and ensure a positive social climate. Conduct operators’ annual appraisals, as well as salary reviews and career interviews. Maintain standards Perform On Job Training of your teams every day on standards implemented. Ensure enforcement of health, safety, environmental & site rules of your perimeter, and that anybody entering your perimeter respects the rules and standards. Ensure existence of updated working instructions for every station, including reworks. Ensure respect of all working standards (safety, work instructions, quality, 5S, respect of the product, OK start) during the operations and propose/implement improvements. Define work standards with the help of support functions and operators. Ensure TPM standards are properly deployed and used: abnormalities detection (formalized on red tags), systematic inspection & regular cleaning of equipment by team, 1st levels of preventive maintenance. Control regularly equipment performance (including cycle time measurements, and microstoppages observation sessions), and react. Make regularly time-measurements with main MUDA seeking. Ensure that all displays of your perimeter (communication areas) are updated at end of shift, and make sure that workers have necessary material to do so. Manage production Propose every week headcounts & organization to the Production Manager, according to the logistic plan. Ensure production, respecting Valeo standards & inventory targets. In case a detected problem cannot be solved, assign and check containment and corrective actions with Production support functions and/or management. Review daily indicators. React in case of issue & escalate issues when needed. Respect daily the logistic contract and in case of deviation, take necessary measures within the week. Get involvement of support functions every time necessary to solve as fast as possible the issues identified. Manage Continuous Improvement Lead action plans to improve Plant performance (actual and targets), including productivity plans. Reach and maintain a dynamic and efficient Proposals of Improvements system. Participate in safety and environment risks reduction. Contribute to new equipment and processes start-ups. Lead Zoning evolution and re-layout and improvements by your team. Pilot PDCA / FTA & Maintenance 5 WHYs on topics assigned. Prepare LLC & Kaizen Cards. Lead workshops (flow analysis – MUDA hunting, 5S, Hoshin, TPM ). Participate in budget preparation (headcounts, overheads, investments) and manage the budget of your perimeter. Promote the Valeo 5 axes in daily activities. Skills and experience expected: Engineering degree (Mandatory). Experience: 2 to 5 years in similar roles in the automotive field. Good Italian (B2 Minimum, Mandatory), Fluent English. Available for shift work.
