Job Description
Reporting into Head of Reserving, the successful candidate will be a member of the AXA Partners central reserving and profitability team responsible for a wide range of actuarial work to support the business. The role holder is expected to: Actively participate in the reserving activities (actual and forecasts), while adhering to AXA Group's reporting requirements. Support local and regional teams and top management on actuarial topics such as forecasting and budgeting, portfolio monitoring, and capital management. Contribute to AXA Partners portfolio monitoring for Assistance business lines to optimize profitability and meet assistance targets. Identify and analyze portfolio/segment trends within the Assistance business lines and steer the Portfolio Management Process accordingly. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The role holder will concretely be in charge of: Contributing to the 1st opinion reserving process for IFRS reporting on the AXA Assistance scope. Supporting the quarterly reserve calculation process under local GAAP, IFRS17 and Solvency II project for actuarial matters. Collaborating with key internal stakeholders (Finance, Risk Management, and Technical Excellence) to communicate and embed the results. Participating in presenting the results at the Reserving Forum and Reserving Committee. Using and maintaining actuarial tools for reserving calculations. Contributing to portfolio profitability analysis, production, and process animation. Adhering to the AXA Partners Reserving Policy and ensuring processes and documents remain up to date. Supporting the AXA Partners Risk Management team in broader reserving and actuarial topics. Conducting in-depth analysis of portfolios for ad-hoc reserving and profitability reviews. Providing training on technical and communication standards for Finance, Risk, and Actuarial associates. Engaging with external stakeholders (GIE, internal/external Audit, and Compliance) for quality assurance and adherence to AXA standards. Contributing to the monitoring and analysis of Assistance business lines portfolios to assess performance, risk, and compliance with established investment guidelines and strategies. Supporting the development and implementation of effective portfolio monitoring procedures and strategies to proactively identify and address issues. Generating and presenting regular reports and analysis on portfolio performance and recommending adjustments as needed. Your Profile SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Minimum of 4 years of experience within a large and international organization, preferably in finance and insurance companies. Experience in Solvency II and IFRS17 reporting. Experience in pricing would be a plus. Actuarial related qualification from recognized actuarial professional bodies. Experience in a multi-cultural environment would be a plus. Fluent English is required. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Leadership and interpersonal skills able to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. Strong communication skills with the ability to build presentations that are easy to understand and convincing, in order to facilitate appropriate strategy decision-making across the business. Must be a team player, able to work collaboratively with and through others. Excellent analytical skills and actuarial academic background. Proficiency in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint for the creation of engaging analysis reports and presentations. Proficiency in coding (R/VBA) would be a plus.
