Job Description

Legal Counsel-IP

  • Advise on the platform rules and procedures relating to copyright and trademark infringement and protection
  • Handle copyright and trademark-related questions with rights holders
  • Develop and implement IP protection and enforcement strategy for the platform against infringements by others
  • Apply effective risk management strategies and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues
  • Conduct all assignments with integrity and a high degree of responsibility

Legal Counsel-Litigation

  • Handle US litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution related to the business.
  • Deal with inquiries, investigations, and complaints from US regulatory agencies.
  • Draft, review and revise day-to-day business contracts, provide risk assessments and legal consultation opinions to support business growth.
  • In charge of negotiations and legal document reviews related to US matters.
  • Complete other tasks arranged by the leadership.

Legal Counsel - Data Privacy

  • Strong understanding of privacy frameworks and experience implementing the same
  • Partner closely with business to assess potential data, privacy and security risks and regulatory controls and governance for products and technologies
  • Support the business to build trustworthy, privacy-first products and services
  • Advise on the management and use of data, including privacy matters related to Product, Marketing, Advertising, and data governance
  • Provide subject matter expert advice in connection with regulatory investigations, individual complaints and enquiries
  • Provide subject matter expert advice across all aspects of global privacy law and regulation, including on highly regulated, sensitive data
  • Structure, draft, review, and negotiate data protection terms in a variety of commercial agreements

Legal Counsel - Payment & AML

  • Handle global AML compliance, logistics and warehousing, products liability and dispute resolution in connection with e-commerce platform business.
  • Deal with inquiries, investigations, and complaints from overseas regulatory agencies.
  • Draft, review and revise day-to-day business contracts, provide risk assessments and legal consultation opinions to support business growth.
  • Provide assistance to business units for negotiations and legal document reviews.
  • Other new legal & compliance tasks with the business development.
