Job Description
One of the most well-known nuclear companies in the UK is looking for senior mechanical engineers to work on some of the most prestigious projects in the sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior mechanical engineer to work on some massive project in defence/nuclear sector.
Job Title - Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location -Oxford 2/3 days a week
Contract Length - 12 Months
Pay Rates - Up to £55.00 an hour (Inside IR35)
Key responsibilities:
Provide technical support to the team for you specialist area and ensure you are working to deadlines effectively
Make engineering decisions from a project and technical stand point
Act as the technical authority or lead mechanical engineer when required to do so.
Ensure all change are assessed and managed accordingly to project scope
Ensure the procedures and engineering codes are consistently met and managed throughout the project lifecycle.
Produce and review all technical documents and approve calculations, analysis, drawings and models for design documents and technical reports.
Expected qualifications:
An engineering degree in a relevant field
Experience in working in heavily regulated sites with multiple discipline teams
Demonstrated experiences in covering a wide range of tasks across a range of complexities
Experience in managing an engineering scope
Chartered status preferred (DESIRED)
