Automation Project Manager


Role Overview


We are seeking an experienced Automation Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex automation projects within our manufacturing and logistics operations. As the Automation Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of automation initiatives, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and handover.


Key Responsibilities


- Gather and document detailed requirements for new automation systems and solutions

- Oversee the design, development, and testing of automated systems, working closely with cross-functional engineering teams

- Develop comprehensive project plans, manage schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful and on-time project delivery

- Coordinate the integration of automation systems with existing manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics infrastructure

- Manage vendors, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements

- Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle

- Provide regular progress updates and reports to stakeholders

- Support the development and implementation of automation-related training for operations and maintenance teams

- Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs through automation


Qualifications and Experience


- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related technical field

- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Automation Engineer, with a proven track record of delivering complex automation projects

- Hands-on experience with industrial automation technologies, such as PLCs, SCADA systems, robotic systems, and material handling equipment

- Strong understanding of manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics operations and processes

- Proficient in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as Agile, Waterfall, and Lean

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills

- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals

- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements

- Experience in the automotive, intralogistics, or manufacturing industries is preferred
