£50,000 - £75,000 and package
Company Information:
CSC Recruitment are working multiple main contractors who specialises in high specification retail, residential, restaurant, office, art gallery and unique environment projects. They are seeking to employ Quantity Surveyors who can run their own projects.
All are privately owned contractors that are financially stable with solid forward order book of exclusive projects. They break new boundaries and deliver innovative and inspirational solutions. They are all very selective about the projects they win, with an annual turnover of £30 million and projects valuing £5million on average.
Key Skills/Experience:
Graduate ideally with a few years industry experience
Highly numerate
Methodical and organised
Strong communication skills
The ability to absorb complex information and prioritise tasks effectively
Understanding of standard building contracts advantageous
Highly professional, well presented, reliable, punctual and responsible
IT literate with good working knowledge of word and excel as a minimum
Ability to use measurement software advantageous
Basic understanding of building technology with an ability to read and understand construction drawings/specifications
Responsibilities:
Assist with all QS tasks under the direction of Senior QS or Commercial Director
Complete purchase of site supplies, materials, plant and equipment as required
Prepare purchase orders
Attend and minute pre-start meetings with all sub-contractors
Regularly walk site to ensure detailed knowledge of progress on a package-by-package basis
Assist with preparation of client valuations
Assist with the valuation of sub-contractor accounts
Maintain records to substantiate client/subcontractor valuations
Maintain record of hired plant and off-hire equipment to minimise plant cost
Facilitate preparation of import/export documentation as required
Submit CVI/CSI's via project management software
Attend site meetings and prepare minutes for pertinent meetings
Review supplier invoices and reconcile to purchase orders/delivery notes
Prepare take-offs and schedules to support procurement
Undertake analysis of tender bids and present to Senior QS
Support Senior QS with pricing of variations
Analyse daywork sheets and confirm allocation of costs under direction from Senior QS
Support the team in ensuring all relevant sub-contractor insurances are up-to-date at the onset of the contract and maintained throughout the project
Prepare and maintain sample procurement schedules
Maintain accurate time sheets
Maintain a commitment to continuous personal development
