Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is engaged in a direct hire search for a Director of Third-Party Risk Management professional. This position requires a seasoned risk professional with significant experience in managing third-party risk. You will work closely with several C-Suite executives and key stakeholders to identify, assess and mitigate risks as they pertain to third-party relationships. You will be a key leader in the risk management function and will ensure all third-party relationships, including vendors and critical service providers, are compliant with the latest regulatory guidance practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the third-party risk management program ensuring it meets regulatory expectations
  • Continue to assess and update the program to reflect company growth accounting for evolving risk, size and complexity
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidance requirements published by regulators
  • Oversees the identification, assessment and monitoring of risks associated with third-party risk
  • Works with the legal, compliance, and information security teams to identify and mitigate risk
  • Prepared and presents reports to risk committees and the BODs
  • Point of contact for any regulatory exams and audits as they pertain to third-party risk management
  • Confirms that contracts with third-party vendors include appropriate risk management provisions
  • Develops and delivers training to staff regarding third-party risk management

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required. Advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in third-party risk management, vendor management or related risk management role with a financial institution of assets >$10 billion
  • In-depth knowledge of third-party risk management agreements and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Solid understanding of regulatory guidelines such as FDIC, OCC, FFIEC, TXDOB, along with experience with regulatory exams related to third-party risk
  • Excellent communication skills
