Title Senior Product Designer
Duration 5month Contract - possibility of extension
Location: Denver Tech Center
Pay: $65-70/hr
The Experience Design Studio (XDS) supports over 40+ products across eight different clients/business units. These products include customer facing applications and websites (some product reaching over 23 million users), as well as internal tools. This role will mainly be responsible for the delivery of an Enterprise level internal tool. This designer will be responsible for the discovery and design delivery of this platform and will be the main point of contact with the client. This designer will need internal tools experience as well as a good grasp of information architecture.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
- Brings user-centered design (UCD) process methodology leadership to digital applications from concept to launch.
- Acts as an evangelist for the customer experience within the organization
- Creates personas and journey maps as a foundation to project work.
- Creates information architecture and wireframes that both meet business goals and ensure a positive user experience.
- Works closely with the greater UX team to support cross-platform consistency, define application interactions, and identify usability testing needs.
- Works within cross-functional team to understand expectations, priorities, and necessary deliverables
- Documents, communicates and presents design ideas to fellow team members, stakeholders, executives, and clients.
- Leads brainstorming sessions, and wireframe and design reviews to help solve problems.
- Be a fully engaged and positive member of a collaborative team
- Mentors other UX designers.
- Manages multiple priorities and project timelines.
- Ensures the health of the product, feature, and relationships with clients.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to demonstrate basic UI design skills via portfolio
- Basic understanding of UX best practices
- Ability to deliver against several initiatives simultaneously
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience creating highly-detailed annotated wireframes, user flows, and process flows within consumer applications
- Experience in data visualization
- Understanding of platform specific nomenclature
- Ability to sketch and generate big-picture ideas for early-stage UX work
- Effective time management skills and the ability to be self-directed when needed
- Effective client (presentation) communication skills and the ability to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
- Experience with project estimation
- Experience planning and facilitating user research and usability tests including A/B and multi-variant testing
- Experience creating personas and customer journey maps
- Experience leading complex UX projects
- UX design experience with at least 60% focus on UX - 6-8 years
- Proficient with Figma
- Experience working with Design Libraries - 2-3 years
- Experience with internal tools - 3-5 years
