Job Description
A creative, successful business based in Central London are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join the team.
As Bookkeeper, reporting into the Finance Director, you will have day to day responsibility for the bookkeeping and accountancy function including all HMRC and statutory filing requirements.
Your key responsibilities as Bookkeeper will include processing bookkeeping transactions in line with finance procedures and deadlines, maintaining the nominal ledger and debtors ledger, reconciliation of supplier statements, filing periodic reconciled VAT and CIS returns, maintaining and reporting the overview of creditors ledger monthly and processing periodic payment runs for suppliers and subcontractors. You will also be responsible for undertaking credit control procedures, verifying the accuracy of accounts and will work closely with the Finance Director to prepare the short-term cash flow forecasts.
The ideal candidate will have proven Bookkeeping experience up to trial balance and will hold an accountancy qualification, you will have a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and International Accounting Standards. You will be proficient in MS Office including Excel, experience of using Sage is desirable but not essential. You will be organised, able to work to deadline and have excellent attention to detail.
The salary on offer is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum dependent on the level of experience plus benefits package
