Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Ellesmere Port
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000p/a
Basic Hours: 40 hours Monday to Friday
Contract / Permanent: Permanent
Site Based / Office / Remote: Office based

Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Primarily based at the head office with occasional site visits required.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Reports to: Mechanical/Process Design Lead
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support in weekly meetings with both in-house teams and clients.
Collaborate closely with clients and sub-suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery, alongside the Project Manager.
Participate in design reviews and oversee technical documentation.
Support the in-house manufacturing process by ensuring project designs are accurately implemented.
Specify and procure project materials in line with engineering standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the delivery of project drawings and associated records.
Participate in project handover meetings with the sales team as necessary.
Provide input for sales quotes when required.
Address and resolve build queries for workshop and site projects.
Share best practices across projects to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
Mechanical Engineering qualifications at HNC/HND level or equivalent.
Experience working within the process, oil & gas, petrochemical, or gas distribution industries.
Strong understanding of equipment engineering specifications and industry standards.
