Job Description
Are you a COSS/PIC looking for a role that offers a permanent position and guaranteed hours? We are keen to speak to COSS professionals with a background in civil engineering and experience of both planned and reactive works. Based in the South West and working from our valued client’s Glastonbury depot and working on the Western CAM framework, you’ll join a successful and growing company with works in engineering and rail related infrastructure activities with offices UK wide.
Your responsibilities as a COSS:
* Carry out tasks in a safely and adhere to established guidelines and procedures
* Carrying out all assigned construction tasks, which may include de-vegetation, operating machinery and equipment and other civils related tasks
* Collaborating with the General Foreman on methods to improve safety procedures
* Encouraging teamwork to ensure project deadlines are met
Requirements as a COSS/PIC:
* PTS and COSS tickets are essential for this role
* Experience in general construction in Civil Engineering and Rail sector is also essential
* Strong safety awareness and knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
* A positive attitude
* Please note that this role may require you to regularly work away from home and includes weekend and evening work
* This position will be subject to two employment references, a Drugs & Alcohol and medical test and driver’s license check.
