Job Description
If you're an experienced CNC Cylindrical Grinder based within a commutable distance to Durham I'd be keen to hear from you. My client is a subcontract precision engineering business who suply the aerospace and Oil & Gas sectors and due to growth have a permanent vacancy for a CNC Cylindrical Grinder.
In this role you'll be working on a 2 shift system of dayshift, 6-2 (12 Friday) and backshift, 2-11.25 Mon-Thu.
What you'll be doing:
* Studer Grinders. (External & internal grinding)
* Grinding wheel and tool selection with dressing techniques
* Shadow graph
* Be able to use and read all manner of inspection equipment.
* Thread grinding.
* Profile grinding.
* Coolant management
About you:
* Time Served Grinder.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Able to read and understand drawings.
* Able to Program a CNC Studer Control.
* Able to inspect own work.
* Must be able to work to extremely tight tolerances.
* Must have good knowledge of different grades of wheel for specific materials.
The basic hourly rate is £17-19ph plus a 20% shift allowance which is paid on both the early and late shift.
