Roofing Estimator
Havant, Hampshire
Salary up to £65,000 + Car Allowance + 23 Days Holiday + Pension
Blaymires Recruitment is representing a respected roofing contractor based near Havant who is searching for a Roofing Estimator to join the business.
The company has been trading for over 20 years and undertakes commercial Flat Roof, Pitched Roof and Cladding projects to clients across the South, with projects ranging from 100K to 1.5M.
With planned growth going into 2025 they have an opening for an Estimator with pitched or flat roofing experience who is looking to push their career forward.
As Roofing Estimator, you will be responsible for pricing flat or pitch roof tenders and promote a high quality range of various roofing contract services.
Key Responsibilities of the Roofing Estimator :
* Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project requirements.
* Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare accurate cost estimates.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
* Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
* Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals in a timely manner.
* Maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference.
* Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide regular reports to management.
* Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
Requirements of the Roofing Estimator :
* Proven experience as a Roofing Estimator, Flat or Pitched.
* Strong knowledge of roofing materials, methods, and techniques.
* Proficient in using estimating software and tools.
* Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
* Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.

* Salary up to £65,000 (D.O.E) + Car Allowance.
