Support Worker – Ladyshot/Harlow – Reputable Charity – Training & Progression – Flexible Working Hours – Competitive Pay Rate – Temporary to Permanent Vacancy

This company are currently operating supported housing services for rehabilitating ex-offenders that have left a prison setting. The service ensures the instilling of independent living skills, positive wellbeing and personal development within ex-offenders, working towards their bettering of life and prevention of repeat offending.
The Opportunities:
Support Workers are employed on a full-time basis, shift patterns – 7.30am -3.30pm (early), 12.30pm to 8.30pm ( late)
Competitive pay rates; £19.22 (Umbrella).
Contract length will be 12-weeks before a transition to a permanent contract within our client’s company.
You will be based in a supported accommodation service in Ladyshot/Harlow
The Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker, you will be required to support vulnerable young people each week, conducting support sessions with service users in line with the appropriate requirements.
Supporting young people in their accessing opportunities to claim benefits and housing pathways, as well as sign posting them to local agencies and service providers, in line with their needs.
Assisting young people clients in their ability to conduct income management and assist them in their tenancy sustainment through various methods.
You will support clients in working towards their identified goals such as accessing education, employment or further training.
Support Worker’s will provide emotional support and monitor the wellbeing of clients living within the supported housing services.
The Requirements:
Previous experience working with children & young people. This can be in industries such as education, social care, healthcare etc.
Proactive and patient personality.
Proven personal or working experience in conflict resolution.
The Desirables:
Relevant training to housing or health and social care.
Over 3 years’ experience within a relevant position i.e., Support Worker.
Previous experience in positions such as Youth Support Worker, Housing Support Worker, Life Skills Support Worker etc.
