Job Description
Lead a team of experienced Asbestos Supervisors and Operatives to develop and grow our client base and manage our current expansion path.
Provide guidance to Contract Supervisor and Operatives, with an ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of current Asbestos and Demolition Regulations along with an excellent understanding of current Health & Safety issues.
Ensure overall profitability of projects.
Managing Director/Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing and deputising for all duties in periods of absence.
Duties and Responsibilities
(This list is not exhaustive and other areas of responsibility may be included)
* Price and schedule Asbestos Removal works including pre-quote site visits, liaise with clients over access/timescales / health & safety issues in conjunction with Contracts Supervisor.
* Ensure overall profitability of projects.
* Interact and negotiate with clients.
* Review Tender opportunities and select appropriate ones to pursue in conjunction with management team.
* Assist the Admin team in completion of tender documentation and price schedule of works.
* Assign Supervisor/Operatives for daily works in conjunction with Administration team and Contracts Manager.
* Conduct Training Needs analysis for each Supervisor/Operative and ensure the company maintains suitably qualified personnel.
* Organise and lead Contracts Supervisor/Supervisors/Operatives.
* Supervise and manage long term contracts,
* Produce Method Statements and Risk Assessments for both asbestos and demolition works.
* Cost Control of projects to ensure profitability and implement corrective actions where works are not being conducted to priced timescales/costs.
* Conduct site quality checks/audits and regular site inspections during works.
* Conduct regular H&S and Project meetings with the team. Discuss and investigate any Accident/Near Miss reports in conjunction with M.D and appropriate personnel.
* Attend weekly/monthly management meetings.
* Oversee the management of the selection and appointment of Sub-contractors ensuring company requirements are achieved.
* Coach, mentor and develop staff as appropriate to improve performance
