  • Role: Inheritance Protection / Private Client Solicitor
  • Hours: 35 per week
  • Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience


We are currently looking for an experienced Inheritance Protection / Private Client Solicitor to join our busy Inheritance Protection team. Working in a small but expanding team, and reporting to the Head of Department, you will be responsible for providing advice and assistance to a range of clients. This role is office based in Lake House, Port Solent.


Role Responsibilities

As an Inheritance Protection / Private Client Solicitor you will be responsible for effectively and efficiently managing your own diverse caseload. You will provide sound, professional advice to clients in respect to:


  • Wills
  • Trusts
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • The Administration of Deceased Estates
  • Inheritance tax and care home fee planning
  • Lifetime gifting
  • Declarations of Trust


Job Requirements

Our ideal candidate will be someone with proven experience who takes a professional, client-first approach to each case they run. They will have sound knowledge and expertise in the field, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to communicate in a friendly, professional and confidential manner. The role will suit those with a positive and flexible approach and an ability to remain calm under pressure in order to project the image and ethos of the firm at all times.


Whilst character is important to us we do require a certain level of experience and qualification to succeed in this role. These are:


  • Must hold qualified solicitor status in England and Wales or be a qualified Legal Executive.
  • Minimum 5 years post qualification experience dealing with inheritance protection matters.
  • STEP qualified (or in progress) is desirable but not essential.

Please be aware all roles require the right to work in the United Kingdom, sponsorship of such right will not be provided. The successful candidate will also require a satisfactory DBS check.
