Salary: Paid to Scale
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (January to July 2025)

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a wonderful and well-regarded secondary academy in West Norwood who are seeking an inspiring and dedicated English Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Curriculum Planning and Development: Create engaging lesson plans and resources, align content with departmental goals, and contribute to curriculum planning.
Student Assessment and Progress Tracking: Maintain records of student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
Pastoral Duties: Serve as a form tutor, supporting the well-being and personal growth of students.
Quality Assurance: Participate in evaluating and improving teaching practices and departmental performance.
Communication: Build positive relationships with students, parents, and other stakeholders, fostering a strong school community.
Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate will:

Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree in English.
Have successful teaching experience at the secondary level.
Be familiar with National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4.
Demonstrate strong ICT skills and experience with interactive whiteboards or similar tools.
Exhibit excellent time management, communication, and organisational skills.
Possess the ability to foster a motivating and safe learning environment.
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate (or be willing to obtain)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
