Job Description
Join a NASDAQ-listed leader in the food and beverage industry as a Senior Functional Architect. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) modules within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector. You will be responsible for shaping and enhancing the procurement digital ecosystem by developing solutions that streamline the procurement lifecycle, including Supplier Performance Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Should Cost Modeling, and the Buyer Console. Key Responsibilities : - Lead the design and implementation of digital solutions for the procurement lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business goals and organizational requirements. - Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance systems within Java and Spring Boot to enhance procurement processes, especially in Supplier Performance Management, Supplier Relationship Management, and Should Cost Modeling. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, technical leads, business analysts) to understand complex business problems and deliver innovative solutions that meet procurement and supply chain needs. - Design and implement systems such as Supplier Performance Management (SPM), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and Supplier Risk Management to help the business assess, evaluate, and optimize supplier relationships. - Develop tools and frameworks for managing supplier performance, risk evaluation, and cost analysis, improving decision-making processes and mitigating supplier-related risks. - Build and enhance the Should Cost Modeling system to help the business estimate product costs, optimize procurement strategies, and negotiate better pricing with suppliers. - Act as the technical lead for scrum teams, guiding the architecture and design decisions through the sprint cycles. - Facilitate scrum meetings such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure alignment between business goals, technical implementation, and project timelines. - Ensure that architecture designs are scalable, robust, and aligned with Agile principles, managing multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining a focus on high-quality delivery. - Work closely with business stakeholders, including procurement managers, supply chain teams, and product owners, to ensure that the architecture meets business needs and that projects are delivered on time. - Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project progress, risks, and challenges, ensuring clear communication regarding technical constraints and opportunities for improvement. - Identify opportunities for process improvements in both the architecture and the procurement workflows, leveraging new technologies, frameworks, or best practices to enhance system functionality and user experience. - Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to Java, Spring Boot, CPG industry, supply chain management, and procurement solutions. - Promote innovation and a culture of continuous learning within the team, ensuring that technical teams are always striving for excellence. Qualifications : - 5 years of experience as an Architect, with a strong focus on Java and Spring Boot development for large-scale applications in the CPG industry. - Extensive experience in designing and implementing systems that support Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Procurement processes. - Prior hands-on experience working in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector, with a solid understanding of its procurement, supplier management, and supply chain operations. - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, with proficiency in leading scrum teams and ensuring alignment of business and technical requirements. Java & Spring Boot : - Strong expertise in building enterprise-level applications using Java and Spring Boot. Supply Chain Management (SCM) : - In-depth knowledge of key procurement and supply chain modules, including Supplier Performance Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Supplier Risk Management, and Should Cost Modeling. Integration : - Experience with integrating systems in the supply chain ecosystem, including ERP (e.g, SAP, Oracle), CRM, and external partner systems. Microservices Architecture : - Proven experience in designing and implementing microservices to ensure scalability, flexibility, and reliability. Database Management : - Solid knowledge of relational databases (e.g, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g, MongoDB, Cassandra) for enterprise-grade applications. Cloud Technologies : - Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g, AWS, Azure, GCP) and how to deploy and manage cloud-based solutions. Communication : - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Leadership & Mentorship : - Strong leadership capabilities to guide teams, manage conflicts, and ensure alignment across business and technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving : - Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex organizational landscapes and drive innovative solutions.
