Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our radiology team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating various conditions. This position requires precision, technical skill, and a commitment to patient care.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic imaging.
Perform nuclear medicine studies, including PET scans, SPECT, and cardiac imaging, following physician orders and safety protocols.
Operate and maintain specialized nuclear imaging equipment, ensuring accuracy in capturing and processing images.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and provide support during procedures, explaining safety precautions and addressing any concerns.
Accurately document patient information, procedure details, and imaging results in electronic health records.
Adhere to all radiation safety guidelines to minimize exposure risks for patients, staff, and self.
Requirements:
Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT (N)).
Proficiency in nuclear imaging techniques and equipment operation.
Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and procedures.
Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Prior experience in a clinical radiology or nuclear medicine setting is preferred.
