Job Description
We are looking for Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers for Contract work..
To support different functions across the business to ensure machinery, plant and building meet the required food and health and safety standards. To maintain the equipment to a high standard through inspections and planned preventative maintenance looking to improve upon the system and follow jobs through to completion.
Carry out reactive maintenance to ensure machine downtime is minimised. Understand and contribute to achieving the goals of the Factory by efficiently using data collected from different sources and improving the process or machinery. The role is designed to drive improvement within engineering to ensure.
The role involves working as part of the Engineering function on Shift.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Adhere to the systems in place for food and health and safety, improve upon them if appropriate.
* Mentor other engineers, ACTs and other departments in good practices
* To improve the processes within the engineering system (SSoW, CMMS, PPMs)
* Maintain plant during production and out of production. Planned jobs as well as breakdowns.
* Basic PLC skills essential.
* Using autonomy to makes decisions and escalate when required.
* Demonstrate at all times the correct working standards.
* Working with manufacturing staff to improve the process. (Waste, OEE,)
* To be actively involved in plant improvement groups that you have been assigned to
* Managing CMMS system, allocating jobs, improving system and ensuring standards are met within the team
* To liaise with internal and external contractors and visitors
* To maintain their work area to acceptable good manufacturing processes
* Identify improvement, and help maintain the engineering stores.
* Carry out audits of areas for food and health and safety compliance.
* Work closely with Engineering Lead and Co-Ordinator to ensure efficiency within the department.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* 5 years’ experience in the Food Industry
* Apprenticeship served in similar role
* NVQ Level 3 - with 5years experience in a similar industry
