Job Description
QS / Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager - Northamptonshire (plus some Remote working)

Role:
As Electrical Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager your role will include:
Reporting into the company finance director, working with Project and contracts managers to understand cash flow on projects and feeding of information to finance director to plan business cash flow, supporting project and contracts managers with pricing of variations, monthly applications and any disputes that may arise during projects. Supporting with final account settlements on projects.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in the business as the sole QS / Commercial Manager for the company.
Requirements:
To be considered for this Electrical Quantity Surveyor role you must meet the following criteria:
-The successful candidate will have a proven track record within the M&E contracting field.
- Knowledge of Building Sector.
- Previous employment as a Quantity Surveyor, QS, Project Surveyor, Senior QS, Managing QS or Commercial Manager.
-Electrical Bias.
- Previous experience in building sector projects such as Industrial , Distribution Centre, Warehouse, Logistics Depots, Data Centre, Hotels, commercial, Student Accommodation, PRS or Education or similar would be ideal but not essential.
- Previous Sub contractor employment.
- High level of communication skills.
- Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc).
-Strong understanding of JCT contracts and construction contracts
-Excellent work pricing skills
-Excellent application skills
-Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
-Excellent cash flow management
-Strategist
Location:
Hybrid role – Northamptonshire office + remote work
Working will be hybrid, between office and homeworking, 1/2 days in the office based in Northamptonshire and 2/3 days working from home. Some site travel will be required also.
