An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and talented Associate Structural Engineer to join an award-winning consultancy in their Cardiff office.
As an Associate Structural Engineer you will assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of structural solutions for a wide range of projects including healthcare, residential, commercial, education and more.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage structural engineering projects from concept to completion
Engage directly with clients, attending meetings to understand their needs and provide expert advice.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
Perform structural analysis and design for building projects, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures
Develop detailed design drawings and calculations, ensuring safety, feasibility, and efficiency
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver high-quality results
Conduct site visits to assess the structural progress and ensure adherence to design specifications
Requirements
BEng/MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering
8 years' worth of design experience
Chartered or near-chartered status (MICE/MIStructE)
Experience working towards British standards on Eurocodes
Experience working with all major materials including concrete, steel, masonry and timber
Proficiency in structural analysis software and AutoCAD
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
