Exciting Career Opportunity: Full-Time Quantity Surveyor at Bell Group, Wessex
Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor looking to join a leading company in the property services sector? Bell Group, a family-owned business since 1988, is offering a fantastic opportunity to join our Wessex team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Your Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a vital role in managing large volumes of sales, meeting profit and WIP targets, and driving commercial success. You will oversee tenders, provide accurate pricing, monitor cost control, and ensure the financial health of projects. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors, you will be instrumental in securing new business opportunities and mitigating financial risks.
You’ll have the chance to influence major projects, support branch and contract managers, and guide teams to deliver work on time and within budget, all while ensuring the quality and profitability of each contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately produce estimates and manage tender processes.
- Ensure cost control, financial reporting, and profitability across projects.
- Foster strong client relationships to drive business growth.
- Provide commercial guidance and support during negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and contractual terms.
- Oversee subcontractor payments, final accounts, and ensure timely CVRs.
About You:
You will need strong analytical skills, a background in construction, and ideally experience with a large subcontractor, particularly within the painting sector. The role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and time-management abilities. You must be driven to progress your career and motivated by challenges.

Qualifications:
- MCIOB or equivalent
- CMI L5 Leadership & Management Certificate
- Quantity Surveying qualification
- Full UK Driving License
