Housekeeper/Cleaner – SEMH Secondary School in Ledbury (15 hours per week)

We are excited to be working with a well-established SEMH secondary school located in the peaceful rural area of Ledbury. This specialist school provides a nurturing and therapeutic environment for students aged 11-19 with SEMH needs, ADHD, Autism, and other associated learning difficulties.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper/Cleaner to join the school team. You will play a key role in ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for students, staff, and visitors, contributing to the overall well-being of the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of classrooms, corridors, staff areas, and communal spaces.
Carrying out daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising high-touch areas.
Assisting in maintaining hygiene standards across the school in line with health and safety requirements.
Reporting any cleaning supply needs or maintenance issues to the site manager.
Working collaboratively with the school’s staff to support a positive and healthy environment for students.
Following the cleaning schedule to ensure all areas of the school are consistently well-maintained.
The successful Housekeeper/Cleaner will have:
Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role (preferred but not essential).
A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness.
A friendly and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a commitment to creating a safe and welcoming space for students and staff.
An understanding of safeguarding policies (training will be provided).
Hours:
15 hours per week
Monday to Friday, 2pm – 5pm
