Position Overview Equinix Italia is looking for a Control Engineer Intern to join the Cross Functional / Project & Program Management - Datacenter team. The Control Engineer Intern will assist the Cross Functional team in the design, installation, maintenance, modification, and evaluation of components and methods used to monitor and control systems, machinery, and processes. Responsibilities Interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Execute/supervise maintenance and repair of the BMS/Control Systems. Organize, supervise, and approve interventions carried out by external contractors. Perform regular technical checks and diagnostics on systems, adopt precautionary measures, and carry out urgent corrective operations. Define, organize, and maintain critical stocks. Support and resolve non-routine problems of the BMS/Controls. Implement technical manuals for daily use by the team regarding the use of the BMS. Collaborate with local teams to implement any improvement plans arising from verification results or in response to incidents involving the BMS/Control System. Support the control engineering team in daily activities. Participate in the design, installation, and maintenance of control systems. Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions of the systems. Contribute to documentation and the creation of standard operating procedures. Participate in control system improvement projects. Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective integration of control systems. Profile Required Graduate or recent graduate in Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related disciplines. Basic knowledge of control engineering principles. Familiarity with programmable control systems (PLC) and monitoring software. Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively. Detail-oriented and problem-solving skills. Fluent knowledge of English and Italian, both written and spoken. What do we offer?
